It’s no doubt that Dubai is one of the hottest destinations for tourists and vacationists. Because of its abundant beauty and splendor all and sundry want to visit this amazing city.
While most people think about luxury first, Dubai has way more to offer than just luxurious buildings and shopping malls. And while it is not wrong that the city is and has all that – there are more places to visit in Dubai.
So whether you love it wild, love activities or you’re just an addicted shopper, Dubai has got something for you.
Below are a list of fun things to do in Dubai this summer:
Desert Safari
This is one fun thing to do out there in Dubai. Honestly, you really should try this because it’s so much an experience that you won’t easily forget!
There are many different desert safari tours offered in Dubai.
You can try the 4×4 wheel drive, a BBQ and a belly dance show but actually, any desert safari is a great thing to experience in Dubai and the desert is so picturesque.
Truly, this is one of the best things to do – it is definitely on our top 3 recommendations for cool things to experience in Dubai.
Visit La Mer
La Mer is one of the newest hotspots in Dubai (located in Jumeirah). Whether you want to spend a day at the beach, stroll the beachfront, chill at one of the very cool restaurants and cafes, or just check out the coolest street art, La Mer is a beautiful place and should be on every Dubai itinerary – whether you visit as a family, friends, as a couple or by yourself.
There is no metro going, but some buses and if you stay in a big hotel the shuttle bus might get you here. However, if not, then a taxi would be a choice to get here (taxi drivers will know where it is).
Dubai Marina
One of the most favorite parts in Dubai is Dubai Marina with all the cafes, food trucks, and restaurants – and skyscrapers. This is one of the best places to get lost and one of the best places for nice strolls.
If you are with kids you can rent a little cat car or you just walk along the beautiful promenade.
Visit Pier 7 at Night
Dubai Marina is beautiful and Dubai Marina is the best area to go out in the evening, don´t miss Pier 7 at night and dine in one of the seven restaurants with beautiful views at night. With all the illuminated buildings (including the shopping mall) the view from there is just superb!
Top of Burj Khalifa
Known as the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa seems to be the most attractive destination in Dubai.
Go to the top of Burj Khalifa and enjoy amazing views from up there. Plan in some time, to see the water dance show from above and ideally, plan to see the sunset from Burj Khalifa as well.
You’re going to be amazed by the unquantifiable beauty of this place.
Jumeirah Beach
Not all beaches are free and public (most actually belong to luxury hotels), but you can chill for free at the public Jumeirah Beach and enjoy great views of Burj Al-Arab.
Hop on and hop off buses stop there, but you can also ask the taxi driver to get to the public beach of Jumeirah. Even on sunny days, it is not crowded for European standards.
The water is pretty, the view amazing and best of all: It is a free activity in Dubai.
Burj Al-Arab
Getting in Burj al-Arab isn’t easy if you don’t stay overnight. You need a written booking reservation for one of their restaurants.
So why not having an afternoon tea at Burj Al-Arab at the only 7* hotel in the world (reservation needed in advance). It is not a bargain but probably an amazing experience.
Miracle Garden
One of the main points of interest in Dubai is Miracle Garden, so discover it and take 10000 of pictures at Miracle Garden.
Miracle Garden is not open in summer though (normally opens in November) and you need to get there by taxi, but it is one of the best gardens to check out in Dubai.
Take a bus/cab and plan in a few hours for this trip. It is close to Global Village, so the most efficient way would be to see both places in one day.
The list is endless… Other fun destinations and activities you can see or have in Dubai include: Underwater restaurants, Wafi Mall, bike tour, visit Palm Jumeirah, camel riding, visit Lost Chambers, Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, The Frame, and many others.
Conclusion
We can go on and on talking about amazing places and fun things to do in Dubai. However, the experience is not in reading but in seeing or visiting. Why not start planning today.
